RB20 MAF wiring

Post by datsunboy »

Hi Matt/Guys....
Im wiring a Datsun 1200 wagon up with a CA18DET at the moment, and about to change the MAF to a RB20 one.

In the back of the Nistune document, is the pinouts for all the MAF's....are you sure these are correct?
for the RB20, it says pin B is Signal, and pin E is 12V power.

the MAF plug that came with the RB20 MAF has a shielded wire that you would assume is the signal wire in pin E, and a big fat yellow wire in pin B which you would assume would be the 12V power.
the other to wires C and D look like they should, 12V ground and signal ground.

any ideas?
I dont want to wire it wrong and fry the MAF or ECU

just looked through a R33 manual, and it shows wiring as you described also.

maybe the plug he has isnt for a MAF? any other Nissan plugs that are the same type as the MAF plug?

for rb20/rb25 series 1 afm (4wire type) it should go

1 no connection
2 signal output (0-5v)
3 earth for supply voltage
4 earth for signal wire
5 +12v supply voltage
