TPS Voltage too high?

Post by ShortBusRider »

Purchased a '99 P11 with W10 DET - GT2871R - STI 520's - Z32 MAF - NISTune Type 3 board on OBD1 B13 ECU

Tried to check the TPS for adjustment and found out the TPS voltage is 7.2-7.3 unplugged........ should be 5 volts, correct?

Any ideas?

What does it show with TPS plugged in?

7 volts is way too high and I would think that a floating input would not go that high

That does sound a bit wierd. But as long as you're seeing around 0.5V with throttle closed and a bit over 4V at WOT then it won't matter.

I think it should be 5V power supply to the TPS,
May be your TPS is wrongly supplied with 12V.
