2 step launch control

Post by Delox »

I was wondering if there is any sort of coding possible which could utilize the rev limiter to create a two-step launch control system.

Something where when the clutch is depressed and the throttle is wide open, a rev limiter is implemented at an adjustable level (say 3500rpm or so), then when you let off the clutch, the rev limiter returns to the alternate level (say 7000) and you can launch from this state.

It seems like it would be simple coding, however I'm not sure if the nistune unit is able to utilize 'if/than' settings.

Its on the list but these type of enhancements which are specific coding for each ECU are not something we are going to tackle in a hurry

soft limit and hard limit

soft limit will cut fuel temporarily until a recovery RPM point is reached

hard limit will cut fuel all together

on RB30 you will feel it as its like bang then engine stops temporarily. just did it again yesterday...
