What version are you updating from? Also what OS are you running?
Nistune attempts to rename the files from
nistune.exe to nistune_previous.exe and
crashrpt1300.dll to crashrpt1300_previous.dll
After this it can then copy the new files from the installation package. If the permissions are not allowed, then it cannot do this. You will need to run Nistune as Administrator in order to do this
Otherwise update manually from our website

windows 8.1 on my notebook, windows 10 pro on my desktop. both runing as user.

Connecting to the ECU, or connecting to the internet to download the updates?
