Incorrectly installed board

Hi Matt,recently I have got s14a ecu with type 4 board. I found that flat cables of board adaptor are soldered into the fcu without 1st. pin offset,both cables was 1 to 1. I removed that cable which need offset and installed it correctly and filled 1st hole with solder. Engine can start now (wasnt possible before), but its not possible to connect to ecu with nistune. Its possible that board is (at least) partially damaged? Would you advice to replace board or also ecu?
