Z32 ECU o2 Sensor monitoring

Post by Torque »

How/does the Z32 ECU determine that the O2 sensor is connected?

I'm trying to use a WB-Sensor hooked up to a WB controller.
The controller can 'fake' lean/rich thresholds so that one can still use lambda monitoring with the existing ECU.

Looks to see that the sensor goes above/below the LHS Lean/Rich parameters and adjusts the trimmings when in closed loop conditions

Note that on Z32 the 'reported' AF alpha STFT trims are also changed by other factors like acceleration enrichment, which can cause confusion

Thanks,

Seems I should be fine then.
(Initially I thought the ECU was monitoring the heater current, but according to the schematic heating is provided via external 12V)
