i have tried everything i cant get the wideband to conncect
all my computer sees is the serial to usb conector
can anyone help

a few ideas that come to mind before that gets moved to the relevant index.

1. try new serial-usb convertor.
2. ensure latest nistune.

or let us know whats needed to replicate fault,
OS version, type board, type of usb-convertor
Enable debug mode and upload the log file for analysis.

Try also connecting with Logworks 3 from the Innovate website

If it can see the device inside LogWorks and connect, then you should be able to connect with Nistune. If you can connect LogWorks but not Nistune then please let me know

i cant connect with log works ether
but i have a friend that is a IT tech he is thinking its a setting issue so im taking my car and my computer to him saturday hopefully he can help me figure this out

Which innovate unit?

If LC-1 try another USB-serial converter. Make sure unit is powered and has the serial terminator on one end and plug on the other

my buddy got it figured out some protocol setting or something not sure but it works now

iam having the exactly same issue. if you can specify this protocallit would be greatly happy.

Have you tried increasing the 'port scan time out' in the configuration settings?

If its a problem also in LogWorks I'd be interested to know what he changed since the above com port timeout setting only applies to Nistune
