Nistune 0.9.14 available

Post by Matt »

This is basically the previous version with :

- A whole lot of the english now turned into tokens. This is to support multi language support in the future. All status messages, message boxes are currently in this english_translation.ini file.

To be added is everything that you see on each diaglog window, and menu items. Once those are converted to tokens then I will enable unicode support (no more Windows 95/98 support from there on). This will allow display of foreign language code pages. This is a big coding effort so should hopefully be finished soon. Initial languages to be supported will be French and Russian thanks to genereous effort from a couple of volunteers on these forums.

- Trial version is now limited due to previous abuse. Sync and burn operations are not available and sessions are limited to 10 minutes

- Added colour selection on gauges as requested previously

- Added code for fuel consumption but currently disabled until I test it out properly

Let me know how it goes with things, and any problems with message box, status display or registering (some of this code has changed)

Great move, this will sort out the $%^# trying to make a keygen. And make our lives a lot easier with people trying to 'fiddle with stuff'

Actually, I think Nistune has got enough reputation already, so it does not require trial version at all.

Totally agree just open ECU image download function.

And of course hardware lock will be definite solution .

why not get rid of trial mode completely?

only thing i dont want to happen matt, is you load on loads of extras into nistune which effectively makes it run slower. at the moment it seems to be running nice no problems and nice and quick i fear adding on extras will slow it down :(

Love the new changes.. I had people saying to me they dont need to buy it as they can keep reloading it, I found this most annoying.

Re Fordys comments, computers are excessively powerful these days. Plenty enough and more from even the most basic machine you can buy. Even my 9 year old laptop will run nistune with power to spare - I use it as my backup machine.

Thanks for the new version. :)
Until now everything works smooth, but I don't have the time to test everything out.

No chance of it getting any slower in the future, any additional features are just an extra class called when you need it .I agree that theres a lot of software out there which gets bloated

Image download should still work okay as long as it does it within 10 minutes!

Hi Matt,

I loaded 0.9.14 onto the Patrol and now get a message "Extended Consult Not Available With this licence" before it starts. Also it no longer auto connects. Apart from that it's running fine with the Zexel ECU. I'd be happy to upgrade the licence as I use it daily.

Cheers and all the best,
Charlie

Charlie email me through the key that you are using an I'll check it out. It should still be working for you. So it still runs, apart from that message?

Hmmmm didnt change the autoconnect stuff, might be related to that error message I think due to the order in which things are called on startup.

where are you installing to? default directory loccation?

also do a virus check of your system. previously people have identified viruses have changed the nistune.exe which then causes the corruption message to appear
