Active test and cylinder numbering

Post by RobH »

Hi guys, further to my earlier post about my car sound rather poorly on boost, I think the active test has confirmed that one of my cylinders is currently not firing/is dead. Cyl #3 according to the test, unfortunately I don't know the numbering order on a Z32, can anyone enlighten me please? Also, confirmation that the active test/cylinder off balance test is working properly in the latest release would be appreciated (I know there used to be problems with it).

Thanks and regards,

RobH

ok, not to worry, I've identified it as mid cylinder of left hand bank (looking from the front). Injector wasn't connected properly, this has also resolved my 'trumpetting' exhaust problem and lack of power, I now have far too much power for a cold damp day!

Cheers

It cannot run nice at idle (as you mention in your other post) if a cylinder is missing !
And you shouldn't have boost so much with one cylinder not firing correctly !
