I might have done something dumb...

...again!

Just been looking over the FAQ's, point 4. in the technical section says it will be necessary to jumper the board to allow upload of an entire ROM.

I was having problems with my car and being a new component I suspected it might have been a NistTune issue, I downloaded some .bin files from the NisTune site and put a standard jap spec manual tune in the ECU, making a couple of adjustments for the new, bigger injectors. I wanted to make sure that TTP and TP scales had been adjusted and Pete (who installed the original program) wasn't sure if they had been changed or not.

Question is, will this new .bin have completely overwritten the old one (I did burn it permanently), will just parts of it have changed? Or have I understood the FAQ wrong?

Cheers

When you sync inside nistune then it only replaces the maps/tables/constants

None of the ECU program is modified

When you burn it will save all the changes that you sync'd to the ecu

You can get your old image and resync that one and burn that in to get back

Ah! Ok, so the basic ROM image remains the same - it's just the variable data which is replaced, no problem then. Thanks.

Oh and BTW, I'm pretty sure my problems are due to another faulty injector.
