Map changes

Post by edsz31 »

I was tuning my fuel map, Ive got it alot closer, But I never noticed before today that the maps all defalt at 6,000 rpm.
I've been tuning all my maps to 6,000 rpm. Im not sure what the ECM does after 6,000.
I changed the maps today, Making my lowest setting 400 and my highest 6,700.0
I have installed a new t3-t4, big exhust wheel, But damm does it go POP load under full throttle at 6,000 rpm, 4th gear 18-20 boost. I let off the throttle I can see black smoke like a cloud.
Well im sure the maps are not the problem, Just somthing I noticed. I not sure why the defalt maps only go to 6,000. its kinda a bitch to change all the maps, after all 6,000 max ?

You should be able to extend the RPM scales and the ECU will interpolate based on the new scales.

I haven't done it myself, however NIStune gives you the abilitiy to modify the scales and I know a lot of tuners have done this...

I often rescale, in fact in some cases by quite a large amount.

which board are you using? it seems your timing is very high for 18 to 20psi unless you're using race gas. also the datalog timing values don't match the datalog.
