R32 GTR - Type 2 - Electric Fans

Post by jjtxaz24 »

Hey guys,

Gonna swap the clutch fan set up on my 1991 GTR to 2 12" electric fans. I saw the pin out (#28) on my ECU that I wanna hook them up to with a relay. I was looking through the software and didnt see anywhere I can trigger or set the temperature to turn on the fans on. Can I do that with NISTune? I have a type 2. Thanks in advance.

Pin 28 is the coolant temp sensor signal input. There is no fan control output on the BNR32 GTR ECU

I believe from factory there is a thermoswitch in the driver's side of the radiator with a green plug

Be very careful using thermos. Most of them won't move as much air as the factory viscous coupled fan.
