z32 nistune with rb25 always on knock maps

Post by IceManPL » Thu Jul 04, 2019 11:38 pm

With the new version of Nistune software (134), car is always running on knock maps.
I disabled knock sensor in "DTC filter 3" but this doesnt make a difference.
With older version of nistune i am almost sure that everything was normal.
Any advice ?

The software does not actually change the function of the ECU.... only your settings do. So it is not the latest software release putting your ECU into knock limp mode, there is an issue with the ECU

For starters, do not turn off knock filter DTC. All this does is stop the DTC message appearing! It will still retard timing as if there was a knock sensor fault

The status warning window monitors the DTCs and just reports them. Perhaps you did not notice the knock DTC previously

Make sure the Z32 ECU has the knock sensor modification as per the Z32 for RB25 manual on the website, and make sure once this is done the knock DTC disappears
