rb25 neo tuning questions

Post by trekmtbr89 »

Feature pack enabled nistune chip in type 2 board driving a RB25 neo in a r32 chassis with r32 harness.

Looking for some insight on load vs k constant.

I start with the following:
Load basemap: HCR32_FOR_RB25_11U0F_MT_TPS_VCT_FP_maps.bin
I do a injector resize 390 to 1050
Change maf from dropdown table to HPX n1 3.5" piping z32 Load (500hp)
set idle trigger voltage to the idle tps reading
set injector latency to 980 (suggested by Injector dynamics)

engine starts up and idles fine, a bit rich but ok.
k= 322
TIM = 190
Load range: 12-80

At this point the next step is to check the max load on a run and alter K to make sure I'm accessing all of the load map.
At this point do I'm assuming I decrease k to shift my load values down and increase k to shift them up?. What % change increments are suggested while making this adjustment? 5? 10%?

Thanks for the input.

Normally I would adjust in 10% increments until you are within your scaling (TP = 80)

So if TP reaches 100 for example, then you would need to lower K constant 20% to get it to 80. That will of course lower fuel, so then increase TIM by similar (20%) to get AFRs back around stoich (at cruise)
