Random High TP

Post by djstatic »

Hi Guys/Gals,

This morning I had random spikes in TP the were literally off the map whilst driving like a grand pa. I though I lost spark or has some sort of misfire.

Can anyone explain this?

5:42 TP hits 132
6:40 TP hits 152

I pulled over, checked some things. reset the Long term trim and drove around a shopping center car-park. was "ok" so I drove to work.

Looks like there is a problem with your MAF.

it seems to randomly spike in voltage, causing TP to spike with it.

Maybe a wet air intake ?

Actually I did clean the air filter and MAF on the W/E.

But it should have been dry by then. The filter was touch dry (inside and out) when I re-installed it.

I was thinking it might have been a plug issue.

Thanks

Yes, looks ok now, but it seems you were still driving like a grandpa ?

To be certain is to leave the "grandpa mode" and do a couple of full throttle runs.
If it bogs and stutters all over the place (usually as soon as boost comes in), I would have another look at the air-intake and look for signs of drops of water.

Yeah agreed with Eric! I had a look at this log trying to find some positive boost for log testing. No spikes or anything. Anyway updated version available for you to use with the fixes for auxiliary logging now 8)
