MAF Selection Power Ratings

Post by FlawleZ »

Matt I was wondering why you have a rating of 500HP for the Z32 MAF in NIStune but for the Z31 only 266HP? The Z31 MAF flows more than double that and I think it causes confusion.

Its the required HP data used for the MAF HP resizing. It takes meaurements between one number to the other to make the adjustments

I based the Z31 from the R31 RB30 MAF which needed this resizing on my vehicle. Reality is about 280hp+ (215rwkw) for Z31 MAFs and 470hp+ (350rwkw) so its not too far off

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but my car pulled 4.809 volts at 540RWHP on a stock unmodified or rescaled Z31 MAF. Based on several others' results further supporting mine, it looks as though the Z31 MAF will meter up to ~600 HP.

It depends on the dyno but that kind of power (540hp=400kw) is more than we measure here for the Z32 MAF (350-370kw) based from reports from various tuners using dyno dynamics dynos.

For some reason USA dynos (eg. dynojet) etc seem to report higher numbers than dynos that we use here
