ER34 graphs done this week

ER34 stock turbo, tune and injectors. Currently just bigger exhaust and intercooler with pod. Baseline dyno graph

Going on soon is GT3071R and 480CC Nismo injectors. RB25 NEOs use a different type of top feed injector same as 350Z so more difficult to get the right ones

Hey, Matt, nice results from boost increase. You have a very healthy engine there. Turbo obviously choking it - note how regardless of boost setting intake mani pressure falls to 10 psi at high revs.

And guys, what wheels are those on your cars? I'm particularly interested in width and offset. Those look great.

finally got dyno'd tonight. so hard to find the time.

didnt get around to trying autotune out tonight however so that will have to wait for next time

this is a base line run with RB30E+T and T03 factory turbo, intercooler and 440CC injectors, but started leaning out towards the top with factory fuel pump. so time for another fuel pump and putting turbo cams in also (currently running lumpy NA cams)

your rb30+t seems to get on boost very late for a factory t3 and high comp motor.

yeah seems to take its time spooling before it actually starts going on boost. dont know whats going on there

the front lights are HR31 ones ... they are about $400-$500AUD these days. best to get them from japan as we only get them from imports

Are you going to try and push the tune on the R34 before the turbo goes on?

Posted: Sun May 03, 2009 11:44 pm
by Matt
not with that one... we only did it with the R31. the R34 was just put on the dyno with stock ECU... no changes to the tune at all

no need to change the fuel maps on that one as the factory AFRs were good enough

we will do a before/after with the turbo on the R34 once i get it fitted (hopefully a few weeks from now)

have you tried a granger type or ball and spring type controller? much quicker than a bleed valve.

this one has the ball and spring in it

Updated GTS 2 RB30E+T graphs. This is with Z32 AFM, 444CC injectors, Bosch 019 Fuel pump and standard T03 turbo with bigger turbo cam fitted (replacing the larger NA GTS2 cam)

We were having issues with the electrics and resulting dyno graph is very wobbly. As a consequence we have pulled out the 20 year old engine loom and redone half of the plugs on it and we have to give it another run next time after the turbo upgrade (probably looking at adding a larger T04 compressor wheel to the T03 because other options require custom dump etc and this is just a low budget project)
