yeah, it fluctuates around 1.10 to 1.25. You stated "yes richer is higher (above 14.7:1 stoich ratio)" Richer is below 14.7:1. So does higher reading of the O2 indicate higher afr, or a richer mixture (lower afr) Is the speed sensor necessary. what function does it perform. and could it be...

rb30 na - throttle oxygen and speed sensor

ok, just got my oxy sensor working (appears you need 12v supplied to it, doh) im getting a reading of around 1.2 at idle. what should i be aiming for? 1.0? does higher = richer? does the throttle switch only control the fuel cut? i cant see any where else it is used in the tables. I also read in ano...

did everything else look OK on the screen dumps?

boost would have been about 10 psi at 3000rpm, full throttle, when i managed to press F4.

what about the O2? do they normally fail to zero? replace it with std vl sensor, or is there a better option (brand x, 4 wire etc)

injector duty not moving from zero

just had a play out on the street with nistune. as its not realtime yet due to possible noise issues from the cdi, i had to press F4 as i was accelerating to catch a powe run. at idle and at 3k rpm, the injector duty is at zero. also the o2 is at zero but that could easily be a faulty sensor. so why...

now i dont have a stereo in the car for reasons that with the cdi and non r type sparkplugs i knew i would always have a problem with noise. surely there have been other track cars that have experienced the same noise issues? if i had a serial connection instead of usb would i still have issues? wha...

ok, grounded ecu with jumper cable, and jammed a paper clip between usb cable and case.
still disconnecting.

disconnected cdi, connected for longer, but still disconnecting after only seconds. (car also ran worse, so it needs to be plugged in.)

any other suggestions?

i just connected for the first time!! I was able to sync from the ecu ok. when running the engine at idle, just looking around to get an idea of whats going on, it just kept dropping out after only a few seconds. i will try a booster cable straight to the ecu case, and try shorting the usb case to t...

sorry, you mis understood, my mistake. apparently guys with ls1 edit are able to program a rough idle so it appears the car has a large cam. this is what i meant by dialing in a cam (with the keyboard) knowing exactly what is required to dial in a cam shaft. so, do they just adjust latency to achiev...

so is there any detriment to running at idle with low latency values?

will my 'big cam' be so lean as to be causing damage?

i have heard of people with ls1 edit being able to dial in a cam at idle. is this how the do it?y

when i purchased the board, i assume matt just altered the injector size to suit my new ones.

both new and old injectors were low impedance.

software is coming soon so i will be able to start playing, just wanted to get an idea where to start.

'big cam' idle - is it latency

after a switch to nistune ecu set for my new injector size, the engine idles great from cold but once it warms up it develops a 'large cam' it still drives fine, just a crazy idle, which kind of sounds cool. so should i start by increasing the latency i have read a few posts about latency but didnt ...

i agree with it being a great idea. a common idea i've seen in practice is the peak needle is reset every 3 seconds. works well, better than a user reset.
