Same remark. Color gradient of the map vs. Trail color.

Re: R35 Injector latency
The problem with latency is it's an incompressible value added to the inj pulse width.
If too high, it may jeopardize AFR (too rich) when cruising at very low TP (barely touching the throttle)

Re: VG30DETT warm crank issues after injectors swap
I'm still on it. In my case, I need a 2ms crank pulse above 60°C but the ECU does not apply it correctly. The problem is with 2ms, there's no room to decrease it stepwise with a step of 1ms (OEM does it from 4ms ... 3ms ... 2ms ... fire ....) I need to decipher the formula that decreases the crank p...

Re: VG30DETT warm crank issues after injectors swap
Not exactly. When start key on, the initial crank pulse is used (according to engine temp initial) and then decreased stepwise. If you start with 12ms and RPM don’t rise, the ECU will decrease it stepwise, 12 10 8 6 …. till a certain point. When warm and big injectors (my case), I start with 2ms pul...

Re: Ethanol compatibility of nissan injector seals.
Any FKM or Vuiton o-ring resists ethanol. All decent injectors o-rings are FKM material. OEM FPR is questionnable (body seal will leak after a while), but I switched to VAG FPR with FKM o-rings. Take Gates fuel injection hose and any E85 compatible fuel pump (resin turbine). I run E85 since 14 years.

Re: R35 Injector latency
I had ~740cc from DW (370cc purple redrilled) and fitted yellow 750cc few days ago. 1120us (0x70) is the value for me (E85), anything lower and it makes the idle rough (AFR 20) and would jeopardize the fuel map (especially the values when cruising and the transition from low TP to mid TP) Take the i...

Re: R33GTR with R32 ECU
I can help you to tune it correctly (the "good practices")
_log TP (Load index = MSB) instead of TP (Load)
Few remarks:
_too rich, at idle and on boost (TP=14 @idle is wrong)
_TP scales need to be scaled correctly
Which equipment do you use to measure AFR ?

Re: Counterfeit Continental flex fuel sensors
No , I didn't. From experience (since 2007), I trust the values. In my case, they are informative only, this allows to highlight disruptions in ethanol content between the seasons and fuel suppliers. For example, in winter "Carrefour" got 62% (so richer) when others are still at 65%. At th...

Re: Counterfeit Continental flex fuel sensors
I have tried 2 sensors in my life, the huge version (like yours) and the tiny version which is an unbranded item btw (currently installed in my 300zx since 3 years) Both works the same. You need a constant flow through the sensor to get accurate readings, sensor being fitted to the return line to th...

Re: 300ZX Z32 - One side richer + knock, long story
Taking into account the interpolation, I see no problem regarding the timing values reported. I partially trust the min/max values because of the transitional effects and interpolation: when you floor the throttle, you move quickly across the cells and the ignition timing reported is close to the cu...

Re: 300ZX Z32 - One side richer + knock, long story
I don't see any retard in your screenshots. Remember the timing is interpolated on 4 cells and your trace screenshots inherited from the TP scale of the fuel map (bug in Nistune !?). Timing map has different TP scale. Your average values look ok. When I had retarded timing in the 2500rpm/TP56 area, ...

Re: 300ZX Z32 - One side richer + knock, long story
14-15 AFR looks ok for TP=40/52, you are still in closed loop up to 3000rpm. But but you have to reach 13.5 AFR very quickly for TP going beyond 52 Few years ago, I had an area where knock was detected. It was only 1-2 degrees but annoying enough because it affected my consecutive pulls, and my timi...
