Re: Type 2 in Z32 for R33 RB25DET pinouts - document
Hi Torque, I can tell that the ecu is on knock maps when the engine is at idle. The lambda sits around .83 and it idles bad, I haven't yet tuned fuel on the knock maps so its rich as hell. Around 3500 under load the ignition retards to 0 degrees http://forum.nistune.com/download/file.php?mode=view&a...

Re: Type 2 in Z32 for R33 RB25DET pinouts - document
I ran some tests with the knock warning panel up, it does not detect knock but still goes to the knock map.
Could the ECU be monitoring fuel temp and switch to knock maps over a certain limit, like it would if 'guessing' the fuel temps? (ramping from 25-80 degrees)

We are getting the same issue here. Z32 going into an R33 GTST, modded for direct plug in. Fuel temp starts at 25 degrees then ramps to 80 over a few minutes. The ECU goes into knock mode while driving normally.
I have tried many different resistors and cannot get rid of the FUEL TEMP code.

Re: Is a injector rewire required for rb25 using rb20 ecu
Is there any firmware that removes this need to swap wires? I have been running for 6 months now without the wires swapped could be the reason for the slow build up of boost and the occasional missing hopefully I haunt screwed anything up too bad. What the easiest way to swap the wires? Cut and sold...

Is a injector rewire required for rb25 using rb20 ecu
I have been told you must swap the wiring for injectors 4 and 6 for an rb20 ecu to work with an rb25 is this correct?

Problems with rb20 ecu running rb25
I have an rb20 ecu running my rb25 with an external vtc controller. The car is very very sluggish when cold. Just got my laptop back and finally was able to plug in and checkout what is going on. Timing when sluggish is at 7 deg's i dont think this is right. I noticed some of the timing tables look ...

RB20 ECU running an RB25 what to use as a VCT controller
I have my Nistuned RB20 ECU running my RB25. No problems there apart from no VCT. I purchased an built the Jaycar RPM switch and it is useless. It activated on a rising or falling signal no just a window. So basically if you drive off normally it hits say 1800rpm turns on the vct then hits say 4800 ...
