Re: AFM <1.000v = very rich rough idle
Yeh that's definintely possible, and having you say that, i just remembered  this is the first time (although its been in for about 2,500km now) i've put Mobil 1 Synthetic 5W30 oil into the motor... I have been using Castrol Edge 5W30 previously.... Maybe the Mobil 1 is smoother and allowing t...

Re: AFM <1.000v = very rich rough idle
Hrm, i don't really want to run a higher idle though as just in that near range i get a lot of vibration with solid engine mounts, if i go lower on the idle, down to around 800rpm, there's no so much vibration oddly enough so if anything, i'd want to drop the idle from where it is now. hmmmm. What b...

AFM <1.000v = very rich rough idle
I've noticed over the last few weeks more often that at idle my AFM voltage (R34 pink sticker) is hovering around 1.010-1.030, however on occasion, it will drop a little lower and hit 0.990-0.995v when it does, the idle goes super rich (like 11:1) and the car stumbles, the AAC opens up to bring the ...

Re: Tomei Reytec Ecu and Nistune?
If its designed like the PowerFC then it won't be compatible with Nistune as a PowerFC is a specifically engineered product to fit into the OEM casing and OEM harness, and with a quick google, the TOMEI thing looks to be similar with its own specific interface kit. It must retain full consult protco...

Re: First time making adjustments...looking for a little help
My LC1 doesn't go past 21.9 on the lean side so i don't know how you got 32 initially ? Maybe remove and recalibrate the sensor in free air?

Re: bought new laptop having troubles getting started
Make sure you enter your name and email address is CASE SeNsiTiVe so if in the email you received from Nistune your name starts with a Capital Letter, then that's how you need to enter it into nistune for registration. i.e "MrBenno" is not seen the same as "Mrbenno" for registrat...

Re: Calibrating LC1?
Yeh i mentioned a possibly faulty sensor out of the box becuase i read a few times while i was doing research into the widebands that people have received faulty sensors with various different wideband units, not only the innovate ones from brand new. I'm not sure if the sensors are very fragile dur...

Re: Calibrating LC1?
You don't need to have it connected to a laptop to calibrate, its designed so you just need to use the pushbutton to set it into calibration mode. If the LED doesn't even come on and the sensor doesn't heat when the unit is powered (regardless of calibration mode or not) then you should check your w...

Re: Ecu swapping
Don't forget to check the pressure switch on the receiver dryer (could be located elsewhere in the system depending on the car?), it could have failed, also assuming the coil for the compressor is still OK and can be "forced" to engage.

Re: LC-1 As O2 sensor
I just checked the manual, its the YELLOW wire which is analog output 1. The BROWN wire is to use with a gauge.

Re: LC-1 As O2 sensor
With my SR & Type3 board, i just cut the O2 sensor wire at the ECCS plug (with a couple of inches of wire) and joined the output from the LC-1 wire to it. Done. The factory O2 sensor plug is still in the bay, but not connected to anything. If i want to go back to just having the narrowband only,...

Re: Closed loop at idle
I have the exact same issue at the moment on my N/A SR20 setup (with a PLMS dual EEPROM board that i'm using as a temporary mesure so we can rule out it being a nistune hardware error). I havent done a lot of fiddling with the tuning at this point (i was hoping to diagnose it this weekend infact). I...

Re: LC-1 As O2 sensor
The LC-1 has a simulted narrowband output (the yellow wire i think it is) that can be used to replace the factory sensor input on a lot of ECUs. I am using it to replace the factory sensor on my SR20 (FWD) N/A motor. It works quite well, only issue i have which is likely a tuning issue at this point...
