Hmmm, it is - at first glance, but actually it makes sense - if your engine consumes say 1kg/sec of air, its load at 600rpm definitely differs from load at 6000rpm. I guess it depends on how you (or nissan engineers) define "load".

That's nice, because from what i remember, there is some [old] info on ztechz.net that actual TP calculation is dependant (inversely proportional?) on revs as well as on airflow. Is this correct?

I guess it does mean more airflow (not necessarily more hp, because you also need to effectively burn all that mixture) if the only variable in the TP calculation formula is maf lookup table value. Is there a known correct formula for TP calculation?

STATUS , by disconnecting the sensor do you mean disconnecting its plug or disconnecting boost signal hose from it? If reaching peak voltage on map sensor does not cause any side effects other than CEL, then you may try to reduce voltage that comes from MAP back to ECU by putting some kind of volta...

I always thought that launch control should be responsible not only for rev limit but also for elimination of wheelspin during acceleration. :? If by LC you mean only several step rev limiter, it is doable and looks not very hard to implement, but let's see what Matt says. So what you are saying is ...

Guys, can you please explain - what advantages does ignition cut have vs fuel cut?

As to launch control itself - I dont think there is any easy way to integrate it into NIStune, but honestly i'll be more interested in seeing antilag/rotational idle rather than launch control.

Cheers,
Petros.

I've desided to split the above post. Cams. Directly related to the above subject and road manners. Obviously too small a turbo or A/R - and you have to reduce valve overlap and stick to short duration/high lift cams. I'm not an expert by any means but pretty much every source or info calls this com...

Hi PL , sorry for a long time it took to write a reply. Turbo and bearings - exactly what you say. Stock was ball bearing. Dealer told us the same thing - turbo CHRA is stuffed (had excessive axial play) and being ball-bearing can not be repaired, requires replacement. Local dealers' warranty policy...

Interesting news.

If only "knock" boost map is in use, what does the other, "main" map do? Also is there any way we can know boost sensor output voltage through consult?

I'm pretty certain I've read about someone's measurements of GTR resistors and they are 6.7 ohm. Looks like it is enough current drop to not burn out ECU injector drivers and to control peak and hold injectors. On the other hand I can buy 6 10 ohm 10 watt resistors and use them instead of GTR resist...

Was thinking of using siemens 80lb/min low imp injectors with GTR resistor pack on RB25 Neo. Is this possible electrical wise? Regarding MAF in IC piping - you really need an oil catch can or some form of oil separator as under above-atmospheric pressure crankcase gasses, consisting partly of fine o...

Thanks.
I've read somewhere Dr.Drift's post that moving MAF to cold intercooler pipe requires a lot of retune, that's why i asked.

Low impedance injectors definitely have better short pulsewidth behaviour than high-imp. Thanks for info.
