After a while you'll get it right. You can spend forever trying to get it perfect.

Backfiring on over run is a lean condition (not really dangerous in any way) Is the TPS working correctly? It needs to detect when the throttle is closed to cut off the fuel supply.

load a fresh map then change over the fuel, ignition maf and K value and see if it still does it.

I have had a couple too, but not repeatable I'm afraid. I can't remember the exact circumstances when it happens, I'll pay more attention next time.

I also get asked a lot for this. I HATE the external 'chipping' option. I won't let someone else make a tune for me to sell under my workshop/reputation.

Matt, I'll have one of these from you shortly when you have got a bit further. They are used in the SE20VE I think?

Try the TTP min /max. this may correct the rich idle issue. never scale injectors for idle. scale them for medium/max load.

This is strange I have never had a problem, the GTi-R uses peak and hold injectors (of about 3.5 ohm iirc) with the resistor pack in the engine bay. (lol just seen you said this pete) However I have seen this done everywhere, many other ECUs also use resistors for the injectors. Greddy e-manage, sug...

Hmm resistance issue is interesting, high impedance on a low impedance setup would be fine, the opposite should as you say use resistors to stop overloading the injector drivers (and heating the injectors too much) I have to admit however that in practice I have never had a problem using all differe...

Have you tried the latency? Usually that's the problem in cases like this I have found. It can take a lot of work to get the whole map reading correctly over virtual/real values.
