Re: ECU Rom conversion to allow another Distributor signal type.

skyline_stu, that would be great. I need a GA distributor with 3 the the same and one long slot. for cyl 1 tdc identifier, with 360 around the edge. The one I have running at the moment has 4 long slots and a 5th short one and no other timing marks, this wont work with any other more common type ecu...

Re: ECU Rom conversion to allow another Distributor signal type.

I would love too, but the customer lives 100+ miles away. however I can replicate this on another K11 micra that I can copy the data from. Its shown very clearly in this dyno printout: http://www.fusion-motorsport.co.uk/images/stories/cust/k11dyno.jpg If you took the run again but held the load at s...

ECU Rom conversion to allow another Distributor signal type.

Is anyone able to help me with this: The CG/GA series ECUs run on a totally different timing pattern to the normal SR/CA engines. I would like to run a SR ECU in a CG/GA series car, but cannot due to the fact that the distributors are incompatible. Is it possible to rip the code out of the GA ecu th...

I have never tried more than two, so I cannot say for sure.

All that is fine. As I said its a momentary limitation after a few seconds it goes does what you would expect, just it doesn't do this for some reason initially. I have never had to alter the maf translation on any car I have done, this one is no different :)

No, it had absolutely no effect that i could see on the dyno at all, after this time period it then did and was fine.

Also I'm quite sure that some of the tables are wrong (accel increase fuel vs TPs) for example.

I tried everything I could think of.

Very strange issue with K11 ecu (emulated) using NIStune

Working on an Almera turbo yesterday (GA16DE+T) and using a 99B00 K11 ECU I have a very strange problem under acceleration, its perfectly repeatable and I have seen this in many of these ECUs on the normal 1.3K11 , and I now want to know what it is as its becoming a real pain. This is how you can re...

Yes that's what I do to (were possible) some cars cant get two in the pipe or if you do it causes a big restriction (gained 10hp once by pulling the probes out of the exhaust lol)

I think there is some sense in using two probes just to keep an eye on things... Especially when you don't know what abuse the dyno one has been subjected to!

Key in ignition on
Sync (ECU light should stop flashing and stay steady)
IGNITION OFF
Second key in ignition on
Sync (ECU light should stop flashing and stay steady)
IGNITION OFF

Test both keys.

Do not try to start between adding keys.

Totally agree with the comments above. It needs to be filtered for full throttle only really.

Any idea what the PWM freq is? Also have you thought about trying a more modern solenoid rather than the OEM one?

I have done one RNN14 with blow through on a Z32 MAF. I wasn't very happy doing it this way, but it did work very well.

Took me about the same time as normal.

Don't forget that the US has a different rating to many places (UK for one) and use MON not RON which gives a lower rating for the same fuel.
