Re: Z32 256 adress file

Hello Matt, Makes a long time :-) I need to add some variables in the ADR File to be able to change easily their values. Typically: DATA:F407 AFR_min_coef: fcb 90 ; ... DATA:F407 ; Minimum AFR coef: 90% DATA:F408 AFR_max_coef: fcb 110 ; ... DATA:F408 ; Maximum AFR coef: 110% Do you have a generic fo...

Re: rebuild injectors

Eric,

What do you recommend for 740cc to be used with E85 ? Any link ?
(I avoided the pint type and use the phase2 disc type, purchased from DW, one injector failed and replaced, no problem since, running 100% E85 all the time, 3 bars).

Re: rebuild injectors

As the injector body is red for the ebay ones, how do they achieve this ?
To your mind what's the oem injector they custom milled ?

Nismo: red body = 740cc

Re: rebuild injectors

I'm a bit lost with the JECS 740cc for Nissan 300zx (btw 740 or 750cc !?). Some are phase 1 (pintle) , some are phase 2 (pintless). Some people reported some repetitive failure with JECS 740cc (some bought from Czp). Which JECS 740cc are new, remanufactured or redrilled !? Could you post a link of a...

I cannot assume that. I just rewired by precaution.
Maybe vibrations affected the coil or the E85 ate into the resin protecting the coil ....

Re: rebuild injectors

I have DW 740cc (side feed with phase 2-phase 1 fuel rail adaptation kit) at the moment and run E85 blend. I ordered them end of 2008. After 4 months, one injector failed, the coil showed 300-400ohms when hot, 12 ohms when cold. I sent them back to get it replaced, DW didn't succeed in reproducing t...

Re: 300ZX ECT Question

E85 ... I don't have cold start troubles. we see -15°C here in a plain winter. Cold start enrichement table is 1.5x the stock values. Startup table is 2x or something close to that. More cold timing advance but the key is really right enrichement. Love to see your E85 fuel and timing maps... What do...

Re: Ostrich 2.0 and Nistune handling

But in my case (8 maps available), Nistune can't never know the 0x8000 map really selected (by the external rotary knob) :-) Then, I play with EMULATOR_OFFSET Remember people don't really play with EMULATOR_OFFSET variable (except me). Then, if EMULATOR_OFFSET is not set, apply -1 to persistent_emul...

Re: Ostrich 2.0 and Nistune handling

27C040 or equivalent, but in fact my Ostrich stays most of the time in the car. I need 8 maps b/c I use different fuel types (unleaded, ethanol ...) I use Nistune for logging, incl. AFRs ..... for one map at a time of course. I understand your position but the root problem is Nistune scrambles the l...

Ostrich 2.0 and Nistune handling

Matt, There're still some troubles regarding the Ostrich 2.0 management by Nistune. Here is the context: I have 8 maps of 32KB (Z32) in the Ostrich from 0x0 to 0x40000 or 0x40000 to 0x80000 (Ostrich handles 512KB max.), I tried both configurations but the "Nistune effect" occurs in both ca...

Re: Disadvantages of really lean AFR for cruising

This we, I managed to reach 12.77L/100 of E85 @130kmh, on my Audi S4, with huge timing advance.
For ref., I never went below 13.2L/100 on the 300.
Usually the S4 consumes more than my 300zx (my 300 runs lean when cruising, the S4 runs stochio).
From point to point, pure highway, cruise control.

As for me, I may run leaner on E85.
I got 13L/ 100kms on highway and I got 10.5L /100kms before with unleaded.

It cannot run nice at idle (as you mention in your other post) if a cylinder is missing !
And you shouldn't have boost so much with one cylinder not firing correctly !
