Re: Coil Packs
You'll need some extra hardware to sequence the coils too if a dizzy is being used ATM. Or are you wanting to replace the large coil with a single small coil pack coil ? You may run into spark issues at high RPM [low energy] with a coil pack coil [saturation and charge problems]. They were designed ...

Re: Launch control
1. Do you have a base image programmer ??
2. What base image are you currently using ?
Just had a look at the CA18 code - it's taken almost all the rom space, but it should be easy enough to implement - might have to have a chat to Matt about a few technical things first..

Re: Launch control
I'm working on the launch control routines for almost all the ecu variants - it's a big job !! Remember, I've got S13 available now and will have GTR available shortly (PCB's are being manufactured atm). Then it's onto the Z32 and S14/15. The GT-r version has a user defined antilag timing retard tab...

Nistune 0.10.14
Hi Matt, Just tried the new version out here.. Coupla things.. 1. Not sure if the 'new' top radio buttons are an improvement or not - looks kind of 'cluttered'/untidy 2. The consult raw register raw window isn't large enough - if I've selected ALL the registers I loose the bottom one , which is most...

The saga of the dodgy 740cc injectors..
Here's a quick vid of some flow tests we did on a supposed 'NISMO 740cc RR544 injector' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2CIeHi9FFs As is turns out, they were quite a bit smaller than the original 370's. Spent a bit of time diagnosing the fault as the owner was sure that this goose, BUCKNA, had sold ...

Re: Sequential Injection?
Pretty much - i do 'off label ' mods to many varied ecu's, so I have a simulator/comverter that I feed logged data thru and into the efi hardware direct, effectivly 'running' the ecu in the car. Then I monitor/hack anything i like with heaps of other trick gear i have in the armoury. You can trace o...

Re: Sequential Injection?
Here's my 2 cents worth. Z32 ECU's run batch/sequential injection, that's why it's important to re-wire after a Z32 -> R33 conversion as the fuel in injected at a particular crank position with respect to RPM. SR S15's run batch/sequential injection, as I've just spent the afternoon repairing a blow...

Re: How to tune for vented BOV
Easy answer. Replace the vent to air with a recirc type - you'll never consistently be able to tune it - the STFT anf LTFT bounce all over the place and never get to a steady state..

Really ?? On a VL turbo ? - bench and vehicle testing proved correct.. It's never been listed in Nistune's VLT ADR to my knowledge either..
A 44Fxx or 39Fxx is a S13 CA18DET , not a RB30 !!

Re: RB25: converting from high impedence to low....Do I.....
The old VL's used PWM current control techniques to fire the injectors. They will drive 5 injectors per bank and not suffer failure in extensive road testing (read 10's of thousands of KM's).
Just don't ask why there was 10 injectors on this one particular car.. !!!!

Data formatting in Consult Data is all screwed up.
I've had a need to monitor the consult raw register data recently. I have found that the formatting is all messed up, there appears to be a lack of spaces and possibly carrige returns after each item. They just meld in all together.. Would there be a future provision to allow 'power users' to define...
