Re: Tuning VE Fuel Map

This is quite interesting topic. I had tried using the "set ve to 255" method and my car was freaking out :( some reason it wouldnt respond properly to the ve table. It would be awesome to have the ve table actually trim the whole fuel map instead of going immediately to the right once you...

Re: TPS issues

Found a source for the o2 connector: www.wiringspecialties.com/connectorea.html Full (female) pigtail with brand new connector :) All thats left is to source the obd1 throttle body and a obd1 tps! From what im told the s13 tb should bolt right on my s14 manifold. Also sourcing a single wire o2 to pu...

Re: TPS issues

Yup thats exactly what I went through! I knew mine wasnt entered when my afrs were leaner than normal and I didnt get the decel fuel cut when slowing down in gear. It gets really annoying having to cycle the key like that every other time you get in the car. By any chance, do you know where I could...

Re: TPS issues

Unsia Looks like I may have to cut into the harness to get the obd1 tps in there. It did the "gee unreal I forgot where the tps idle is" thing again and I had to turn off the car, and turn it back on again. Lasted exactly 5 days :( I just have to souce a female o2 connector with wires and ...

Re: TPS issues

Wow that seems like a lot of work in your case to swap the TPS between the two ecus. I did similar research with the 95 vs 96 ecus and they seem similar when you compare their functions and how they plug into the harness. There are certain differences in the engine harness (1 wire vs 3 wire o2 and a...

Re: TPS issues

Thanks UNSIA i had thought of that when the problem first started manifesting itself, and feared that i would have to swap TPS's. But it seems that it would require a lot more than just simply swapping the TPS. I believe that i would also need a OBD1 intake manifold and engine harness, which would be...

Re: TPS issues

Thanks for the offer matt, does that swap require downtime on my end? I want to exhaust all my options before I would go through with that. I reset the tps accoring to the obd2 instructions on my FSM. It's been a few days with multiple starts and the problem has not presented itself. Im going to kee...

Re: TPS issues

Reset the TPS learn as per the FSM (warm up, turn off, unplug TPS, Turn back on, and plug TPS while motor is running. Shall see if it helps or not. Matt: Here is a screenshot of how it looks when the car is started when the problem presents itself http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3766/11806288204_a8844...

Re: TPS issues

update: The car has been doing it more often lately, with the colder and sometimes moister temps.

Going to try the TPS learn procedure outlined in the FSM. Hope it helps.

Re: What should SR20 z32MAF IDLE voltage be? (contains ECU l

Looks pretty normal to me. MAF voltages at WOT seem to correspond with the amount of power you would be making with the T25 and that engine. At first i thought it was a little low (usually is over 4.0v at WOT) but that is when you start to push over 350whp. I forgot that MAF's voltages increase with...

Re: What should SR20 z32MAF IDLE voltage be? (contains ECU l

MAFs can be weird creatures sometimes and tend not to make much sense when they go bad. Do you have any screenshots of the MAF at higher RPM/load? Those values look pretty normal for a maf at low rpm/throttle angle.

Yesss i cant wait for this feature to be available. I wonder if it will be a ignition cut style, or fuel-cut style? (IGN = WW2 in the tailpipe FUEL=Sound like a soft rev limiter, and is std on some of the newer performance cars)

*waits patiently*
