Re: KS4 sensor location and tapping signal wire question
I think that is a "common" place to fit the sensor on the SR20DET engine, but it's common practice to fit the sensor on the other side of the block due to the temperature, and in the block itself since it gets less "noises"... the SR20DET engine is knowned to have some head noise...

I believe the better way is to remove that blue socket and fit a normal socket in there...
quite an easy job, providing you have the tools for that and are handy with the soldering iron

Re: Been gone for a while, need assitance...please!
Use the 0.9.14.21 version for Type 1 since there is a problem in the .22 version with these boards Is there ? hum... what problem is it? I haven't found any issues other than those I emailed you about when you released, about the highlighting not working when with consult connected and doing the co...

Re: Been gone for a while, need assitance...please!
That's simple. Just download and install, first the Nistune Rom Pack 2.2 then install the Nistune Version 0.9.14.22, wich is the latest. If you have any previous Rom Pack installed, uninstall it first! As for your friends car... that's more indicated to Matt to answer but if the car is an S13 KA24DE...

Re: rb25 z32 ecu. first timer need some help
how have you adjusted the K constant?
you need to adjust it too since most of the times the Nistune function will get the car good enough for it to run, but adjusting is needed. not hard to do.
as for the cold start... you might need to adjust those tables to suit.

Re: O2 sensor type for Nistuned Z31 88 Turbo ECU
Unfortunately, due to the design of the Titania based sensors, a normal 0-1v narrowband simulated output will *not* work with your ECU. You should disable O2 feedback or retain the factory sensor in another bung on the front pipe. oh yeah, didn't read the "titania sensor" part :S my mista...

Re: O2 sensor type for Nistuned Z31 88 Turbo ECU
I believe that as long as the wideband kit you use has a configurable analog output you can simulate a 0-1V signal to connect to the ECU therefore making the wideband O2 sensor working as a narrowband at the same time it works as a wideband for proper AFR readings...

Re: Download help!
you don't need a code every 30 days... you install the first time, enter the license key given by Matt, and then it's just a matter of installing new versions over the old ones with no need to re-enter the license key... go to www.nistune.com - > support -> downloads and you'll see the newest versio...

Re: Type 1 S13 CA18DET Maps highlight not correct
sorry for hijacking this thread but I came across an issue, in some way related to this one... when having the laptop connected to the ECU, so you can load a new *.bin to the ecu, when you do a sync prior to that and then load, on the compare selection windows the file you want to load to the ECU an...

Re: Tuned ROM images here!
looks like an interesting tune. have you tried it yet ? I still don't quite understand why would you upgrade the maf and leave the stock injectors but, that's up to you really... perhaps you want to improve the airflow of the intake... how does the car behave while running ? does it pull well across...

Re: Type 1 S13 CA18DET Maps highlight not correct
that's a weird thing... though I have allways "heard" that the CA18DET ECU interpolates between both normal and knock maps, hence why most tunes and stuff have the same normal and knock map. but the fact that both fuel maps are highlighted at idle and none of the timing maps are is weird I...

Re: Modifying fuel & timing map issues, and more
every released version has a period of 90 days (as explained on the website) this helps in a way that the user is always using the most current version of the software. don't worry, a new version will be released very soon ;) as for the rest... I can't say for sure so I'll let someone more knowledge...
