backfiring....
hey guys.....I had my first decent play with nistune today.... its a CA18 with a T28, 550cc inj, and Z32 MAF. were running 45psi fuel pressure. we only had a bit of a play....but we got it to run pretty close to 14.7 at idle....but it was still a bit rich up top, but we'll play with that more later....

so your saying.....if were tuning a CA18 on the dyno.....we have to swap between maps, and change both at the same time? that doesnt sound like it'd work all that well when using map trace and + - keys. can you link the 2 maps within your software? ie....make it so it only shows one map....and when ...

Weve just done this to my mates Datsun 1200 coupe. Supercharged CA18DET.....he used the DET pistons, and same supercharger, at 8psi, and made 203HP at the wheels. we tuned it with RomEditor and an emulator....lol, I have Nistune now, but didnt back then. so you should be able to make 200HP easy with...

very interesting! We had an awesome idea at the time, of running it on 2 seperate CA18 ECU's then maybe having it so that you could switch one ECU off, and that would stop fuel and spark to 4cyl....so effectively having a V8 that you can turn 4cyl off at your leisure. 8) . then I went home and thoug...

would it be easy to modify a version of nistune hardware to run in a VH41DE ECU?
the early ECUs use the same EPROM style as CA18s, but the later ones were similar to SR20s
