Just a followup on this -

triggering as per the stock coil seems to be working fine!

running well with no alteration to dwell/duty tables.

Probably a bit late - but it helped me.... from another forum: Ok had a look at holden manual last night: Fuel cut dependant on rpm, speed, temp, idle contact. Will only get fuel cut if over 8km/h. Fuel cut table will reduce injector pulsewidth to minimum if engine rpm ABOVE the table line for that ...

all fixed - wideband output was configured incorrectly

WOOO it's SO fast - asolutely AWESOME!

now just need a 3 bar map sensor to suit the boost level :p

DLP A/D converter

I'm running a DLP a/d converter and an innovate LC-1 wideband. I figure I should be able to plug a programmed 0-5v LC-1 output into the 1st channel of the DLP unit, and then select the 'DLP A/D converter" as my "1st" wideband sensor. I figure I should then be able to modify the lookup...

Multispark CD Ignition action

I've recently installed a "mallory 6a" multispark cap. discharge ignition module. (VLT motor + ecu) I've wired it up to be triggered as per the original ignition coil (i.e. via the power transistor) I'm curious as to whether anyone knows if this is the correct way for it to be wired? and w...

Ah i see

How responsive should I expect the AFM to be? with it mounted before the turbo, should I expect to run into any 'afm reading delay' issues? (i.e. is it a common problem?) - or is this really something I need to experiment with for myself?

VLT Accell enrichment

Hi guys - Could I get a bit of info on how Accell enrichment works on the VLT ecu? "accel enrich is handled by the standard airflow meter overshoot, rather basic, not maps for this function like the latter nissan ecu have that rely on a throttle postion sensor, which the rb30 does not have anyw...

Thanks for taking the time to look over this guys! I really appreciate it. Since posting I've tinkered a bit more with the tune and have increased boost to 16ps, changed the K value slightly, along with latency which has repaired the 'cruise' mixture a bit. I will take your suggestions on board and ...

TP Vs RPM 'curve'

Hi Guys, Does this seem right? (note how the cells accessed seem to go the right then back to the left) i.e. load rises then falls.. the car has a 3000-4000rpm stall converter and turbo spools at around the same time (full boost @ 3500 rpmish) I suppose it could be a boost spike? although the gauge ...

2nd Attempt: RB30 + 750cc inj + z32 AFM

Hey guys, Just hoping to get some feedback + tips from people with a bit more experience + knowledge than myself :) - hopefully some rb30 gurus floating around somewhere! Specs on the car are: - RB30 SOHC (9.0:1 comp) - $150 wrecker special experiment motor with "acl monotorque" head gaske...

yep this is normal (it's what it did for me, anyway).

I extended the load (well dropped the resolution and increased range) and it seems to work so far. - I'd only bother if you intend on running more boost, though?

RB30-POWER, the logs look very similar to mine. seems increasing the volume between the afm and the turbine works - however, for this method to work ideally, the volume of the pre/post turbine piping would have to be the same. - very difficult with volume of intercooler etc. I'm going to try the byp...

This would work - but I just don't trust a plastic AFM under that high pressure, I don't know if anyone's had problems with them blowing apart? (25psi?)

Still haven't tried re-circulating, but have gotten pretty happy results so far with increasing the volume between the turbo and the MAF even more-so. (although I can see the surge(s) of air when i back off on the logs!) In theory - would it not be possible to use another AFM on the outlet of the BO...

I relocated the MAF about a foot further away from the turbo, with a bit of success! but unfortunately it still wants to stall a bit when the bov opens. Over the next few days I'll try a plumb back arrangement and hopefully resolve this issue! In regards to the fuel cut, I was trying with the accell...
