Well i copied the inflated temp enrich table that my car required into the cold <15deg address's and the mixtures are now all good when cold. Most mornings have been cold here lately and the coolant has been around 10degC when i first start it in the morning, so its been trying to use the first map,...

Ok, I have run into a problem, when I have added the above new addresses into the nistune adr file replacing the old entry. When I connect to the ecu for realtime data display and programming, the active or current cell (i.e green cell) is staying at the lowest/first value on both the cold and warm ...

Rom address for temp enrich table correct for VLT file?
Hey Matt, Car is running a little lean when cold, I have been inflating the temp enrich scale a fair wack and seems to be having little effect, can you confirm that the address file is correct for VLT roms. Nistune is using address 3EB0. But there looks like a second table at address 3F30? Cheers Mick

Well i set the value to 0km/h, but it didn't fuel cut when speed signal was not present. Long story short, vl's have a cable that goes from box to dash cluster, cluster head then has a setup to produce a speed signal for the ecu and cruise control module etc. I think the dash has a bad solder joint,...

Rom address for value in km/h that fuel cut can occur?
Hey Guys, Im fairly sure there is a value in the bin file/rom somewhere that signifys that the fuel cut on decel (closed tps) can only occur when vehicle is travelling above set speed in km/h. Once the speed parameter is met, then it refers to the rpm tables, that are already known and in the softwa...

Put a brand spanker 02 sensor in today. Crosscounts extremely fast now and keeps mixture approx 14.8:1 according to the wideband. (Before it was sloppy/slow and between 14.2:1-14-9:1) It even enters closed loop earlier (low temp) then it used to. (Must wait for some voltage from 02 sensor, so it kno...

Thats excellent guys, that the data output process is not effecting cpu operations at all. The sensor is old, original one from my r31 daily driver. (took the new one and put into r31 for better economy) I'll grab a new sensor for the VL tomorrow and see how it goes. I'm really impressed with how ni...

Ok, Well this might clarify if its just my imagination or not, but; When the pc is not connected, is the data stream still being outputted, I was under the impression it was? I haven't really been datalogging yet, just driving my car last few days to work without pc connected and noticed that the na...

Nistune using cpu time?
Hey Guys, Just a question, but since I have installed a Nistune board, it seems as though (well seems most evident) that the 02 sample rate has slowed down,as though it does not have processing time/power it use to have and sampling slower. How much burden is the realtime output having on cpu perfor...

Cutting the diag/idle trimpot out of circuit w/ fitting USB
Hey Guys/Matt :D In your instructions you state to cut/remove the idle/diag trim pot when installing USB socket on these type 1 boards. I done a test and when the pot is full counter clockwise the trim pot is 0 ohm resistance and more when rotated clockwise to add idle rpm and eventually entering di...

RB30 Dwell Table Questions
Hey Guys/Matt :D With the dwell table, its mapped according to rpm in the software/adr file. In looking at the factory manual, the table should be mapped against battery voltage, increased dwell/charge time at lower voltages? Its just the chart w/line graph look identical to the dwell vs battery vol...
