Re: ECU Pulling 5 degrees? no clue why?

When you ground pin 44 on a fully warmed M30, it pulls 5 degrees of timing at idle (and only at idle). But you've known this since 2012 so likely something else. I know using the vg30 knock sensor on an old L28 will pull timing at times because it hears the noise difference from a VG30 to L28. Many ...

Re: Timing issues

I know this an old thread but want to confirm the 180cc injectors. It's also possible that the "temp enrich" has to do with a fuel temp sensor mounted in the fpr and that over a certain fuel temp, it enriches to combat vapor lock and is mostly used during a start after a hot soak. 300zx si...

Re: Infiniti M30 (Leopard F31) ECU in a Z31

m30 ecu in stock form is superior to z31 ecu in that it already has communication through the consult port and the ability to "trim fuel". I put a l28et into my m30, routed the wires to the proper devices, put a z31 disc into the l28et distributor, installed the stock 280zx turbo dropping ...

Re: Getting ecu tested

Necropost.... I would pull the wiring diagram and unplug all the sensors, the ignitor, idle control, and anything else the ecu actuates and then try to communicate with the ecu. If you are able to communicate, start plugging things back in and note when it stops communicating. About 90% of "bad...

Re: 748 whp on nistune. do i get a cookie?

Nice numbers......always good to see the KA24 smack around the SR20 guys. Whether the tires goo up the rollers is partially a function of whether the rollers are textured or smooth as well as tire compound. We had troubles with the twin turbo ford GT running both super soft and hard compounds and fi...

Re: PLX-SM-AFR support

I was wondering about the newer PLX widebands, specifically the SM-AFR, functionality with nistune since there was functionality with the earlier "R series" wideband controllers.....which are no longer in production. If not, I guess I can use the SM-AFR output into a DLP IO8 for now if nis...

Re: Nistune Release 0.11

My first post here.

This new iMFD functionality sounds poised to take Nistune to the next level and I will definately volunteer to share any information I get from working with iMFD hardware as I should be in possession of a PLX kiwi with the iMFD expansion by month's end.

Exciting times.
