Re: Bench testing....

I'm using one of these for mine (using it for writing my own Consult software for a CarPC)

Seems to work really well.

Re: Intake Air Temp Sensor

N15 GA16DE Pulsar has them as well. Intake Air Temperature Sensor (IATS) The intake air temperature sensor mounted to the air cleaner housing, detects intake air temperature and transmits a signal to the ECM. The temperature sensing unit uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperat...

Do you base that off the AFR's or something else?
Your at WOT and running 13.5 AFR, that's not being kind to your motor at all.

Re: Z31 fuel pump voltage

Wouldn't it be any easier option to just get yourself an adjustable FPR?
(I'm only asking for my own curiosity :D)

Re: ECU Rom conversion to allow another Distributor signal type.

Interesting so only Europe had the 5 slit GA/CG timing wheel? skyline_stu and Adam, just to be absolutely clear this distributor came from an Aus N15 GA16DE engine? I will need to change the whole distributor, not just the wheel as those have a two wire output where as the UK GA16 N15 has a single ...

Re: ECU Rom conversion to allow another Distributor signal type.

I'm pretty sure you will be right with an N15 GA16DE distributor

It runs this as it's CAS wheel

The n15 has an internal coil in the dizzy cap, but I believe the N14 GA has the same wheel but runs and external "traditional" coil.

ok, I looked at my wiring diagram, and it shows the neutral switch to earth (pin 44 - switch - earth) so I guess I might add a switch to earth on the clutch pedal. But do I really need to? whats the downside of the ECU thinking its in gear all of the time? Isn't it the other way, they ECU thinks it...

cool, thaks for the pin 44 thing. but can someone please confirm if I need to ground or give 12V to pin 44 in order for the ECU to think its in gear. since it would be wired constantly to "in gear" mode....is there anyway at all to disable it? If it's an auto to manual box conversion why ...

Hmm I wouldn't touch anything mild steel on the "intake" side of things, over time it will rust and rust flakes wouldn't be nice to the internals.

Couldn't you use a pressure compensated sensor? One that uses ambient pressure as reference? Christian *grin* It's all about the $$$ I've managed to pick up a generic OEM pressure sensor for oil/water/fuel for $90 brand new, 5V output etc... It was something like $180+ for a reference one... Instea...
