I have 4 documents from polaris/jecs/fuji that may or may not detail the operation of your ecu, but at least one of them does, (the others may have not made it to production). From a quick look at the docs, I can tell you that this snowmobile ecu is generally similar in operation to the nissan and t...

Glad I could help, the extra bit manipulation and test instructions provided by the 6303 are very handy.

Sounds like a cool project uglykid, I have heard that some snowmobile ecus are similar to the nissan/subaru, and also some heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, excavators, etc.)

Unisa Jecs, to answer your question, only the cali ecu has the variable included in the consult stream table. Yours and most other ecus do not support this without some hacking of both the hardware and firmware.

The KA/SR20DE EGR sensor is a thermistor. A resistor bias circuit is used on the ecu similar to the other thermistors (CLT, IAT in some cases). The non-california model ka24de ecu does have the pcb layout for the eg sensor but the circuit is not populated and the ADC input is pulled to ground with a...

I believe Matt has corrected the Nistune setting for latency in the later versions, but I am not sure how it may interact with your specific firmware. You would have to ask him.

Partly at least, I think some of your problems could be attributed to using a low impedence injector (I assume with a resistor pack). The dsm ecu uses the resistor pack and those injectors, along with a 690us opening time. But, I do not know how the current coming from the dsm ecu injector driver co...

There are additional TPS based fuel corrections in these ecus as well, but they have to do with transitional issues with the MAF sensor. Basically as you come off the throttle and back on, the rush of air can cause the standard fuel control algorithm to overshoot and rich AF. In such cases the ecu w...

Oops, looks like I got the posts confused a bit.

Info should still be relevant.

1SIKZ31, which injectors are you using?

And also, what maf/ecu hardware modifications for the maf?

If your RC injectors are spec'd with an opening time of .41-.54 mS, set your nistune latency around 400-500 uS (or 900-1000us with earlier nistune versions). Nissan injectors are usually spec'd around 700 uS. You are adding around .2ms to the total injector opening time (unnecessarily) which is requ...

Re: Knock sensing flags

Im starting to think maybe there is just more noise on a turbocharged vehicle with regaurd to monitoring knock successfully hence the lack of upper rpm knock sensing of the SR20DET and VG30DETT. Sounds like a plausible interpretation, I have a few patent references on the knock system, ill try dig ...

I would suspect there may be a different translation required for different ecus, ill look into this next time I get a chance (KA/SR ecu).

From what I recall, all our pump fuel available in the US has been 10-15% alcohol for years.

I think like modulation mentioned, it is used to boost the octane of otherwise low rated fuel to acceptable (87-92) octane levels, and it sucks.

I cant offer much help really, but from what I see it appears something is wrong with that dyno run. A standard horsepower calculation dictates equal hp/torque at 5252rpm, always. HP=TORQUE * RPM / 5252 The operator may have not divided the tach pulse input properly for your 6cyl, or it may have bee...
