I have been playing with the moates emulator, and it seems if i upload a 16kb file the NIStune sends a 32K file causing the vehicle not to run. I had to use a different program to upload to the emulator in the first place, to get the car running. When I then downloaded the file to nistune it downloa...

Ok well I got the SR20 running upto 2 bar boost. We were taking it to be dynoed again today to see how much we were running. But before we got there doing some final tests the gearbox ate itself haha!!! Its seems its totally stripped all of the teeth of third gear, so that will be repaired and the c...

Software ignition offset?

Is there anyway I can correct the ignition map by for example adding an offset value in the adr file, to bring the ignition in sync with the map with what the engine is doing? Obviously I could alter the distributor to sync this up properly, but there is a specific reason that I don't want to do thi...

I'm just going to try it and see what happens. If I have to add TPS enrichment, then I shall come to that when I'm there :)

As I said earlier, I am unable to understand the assembler code of the ECUs I simply don't have the experience with it or any way to find this information :(

Its an 8 bit CPU. I will use one Map sensor. baro correction will be performed on power up. My plan is simply just to emulate the MAF voltage. I now have a maf voltage VS RPM VS boost graph I created today, so its just a case of emulating that. I cant see that I would need TPS feedback. But yes IAT ...

That thread on the MAP sensor is very interesting. Unfortunately for me I have very little (i.e no) experience on the ASM of an ECCS ECU. So for that reason I am going to do the conversion with a Microchip PIC which I have lots of experience with!

I still may try the map sensor idea. I just need to work out a few things first, mainly the airtemp correction factors, and possibly if needed atmospheric pressure compensation.

not looked at the logs yet, but pinking if any will be due to ignition more than fuel, that is if your fuel is below 13 afr.

Agree seems a bit late to wind up. Some seem much faster. I had a 3071 on another pulsar and datalogged it making 1.7 bar at 3700 rpm, this seems an exception, as none have done it since so I am assuming it has a smaller turbine housing. Also the compression on this car above is lower with a 2mm gas...
