23710 80f00 board in a 2371M-91f05 ecu

Post by stiv »

If i was to put a 23710 80f00(jdm s14a sr20det) board in to a 2371M-91f05(jdm s15 sr20det) ecu, would it work in the s14a?

The ecu from the jdm s14a got damaged and i'm having problems getting another, but have 2 ecu's from s15's, i think the pin outs are the same

you can try it out and see

I know the ROM images run in these ECUs and the hardware is virtually identical so I cant think of any reasons why it wouldnt work off the top of my head

i tried it out last night when another customer had similar issues

S14A in Type 4 board will not run in S15 ECU... it goes limp. You may need to source another S14A ECU from wreckers/ebay etc

the car would start and run on the base map but the car would not talk to the ecu, consult wouldn't connect. the car is running 850cc injectors and E85(85% ethanol 15%petrol) so didn't sound to good and was shut off. was going to try it in an s15 to see if i could get the consult to connect, would there be much point?
