consult guages no longer come up

Post by iceblade »

having a problem shared by a couple of other people near me, my consult guages will not come up any more... i.e. you click the button and nothing happens, the consult display still works just not the guages screen, are we all being thick or is there something you must do to activate them,
they used to work fine but now mine and my mates guages dont display anymore, short of re-installing the whole lot from scratch im pretty sure ive tried most things??
thanks
Joe

some things to check...

when you connect are you getting prompted for a list of consult registers? if not then you will need to connect to consult, then I think its Operations - Consult Registers

If that is showing then Operations - Display Consult Guages will allow you to select which ones to display

Let me know what is ticked in that. Then reconnect to consult and reopen the guages window

can you get me the exact error message you are getting? perhaps a debug log file and work it from there?

im not sure on the exact problem you are getting. was it working previously but not now?

yes it was working fine, you press the consult guages button (the one with 4 little gauges on it) and the grid of gauges would come up, now you press it and nothing happens.... not a sausage.... no error messages, just like the button doesnt do anything.
how would i go about getting a debug log matt??

VEnoticed with mine, the consult gauges open, but very high, meaning i can only see the bottom few gauges with no way to pull then down or minimise them. Maybe yours is opening but is off screen

is there any way to tell if they are opening off screen? Better still a way to bring them back?

You can try the following:

- close NIStune if it is opened
- Open the registry editor by "run" "regedit".
- Go to the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NIStune Developments\NIStune
- Make first a backup with "File" "Export". If something goes wrong you must only double click on the exported .reg-file to import the original values
- search the following values:

GUAGESVIEW_SIZEX
GUAGESVIEW_SIZEY
GUAGESVIEW_POSX
GUAGESVIEW_POSY

- delete them all!
- start NIStune

If NIStune is started the missing entries are build again with default values.

I hope this helps!

i have an easier way ... Window - Tile

This will line up all the windows (including ones which may have fallen off the screen) up the top left corner down :D

Hopefully you can see them after doing that!
