I made a lookup table for the Apexi AVCR map sensor so I can log boost in (psi) and vacuum in (in/Hg).

The Map sensor I made the lookup table for is this one:

I have also an Apexi AVC-R. Thanks for this information!

For what reason do you use this data and how do you connect the AVC-R map sensor to NIStune?

Your welcome.

I use this to log vacuum and boost inside of Nistune threw the use of Innovate LM-2 Analog input.

I have a similar setup, using a delco 3 bar sensor through my tech edge system. logging boost and vacumm in nistune is invaluable.

It's a pitty, I have an AEM UEGO Wideband Gauge. :( It runs fine but it doesn't have an input for external signals like the AVC-R Map sensor.

Are there other solutions to connect the signal from the Map sensor to NIStune? I want to log Boost (and if it works EGT-Signal from my Greddy Gauge) too! :D
This would be the ultimate solution: One logfile with EGT, Boost, Lambda and all data from the ECU! 8)

(I can make a new thread if you whish to not change the subject on this thread)

Do a search for the DLP A/D converter. I think its reasonably priced and im sure it can do what you want.

Read upto one AFR input and 6 configurable A/D inputs from the DLP A/D converter. Plug in any wideband device with 0-5 volt output and watch and log it in NIStune.

I also have AVCR :D

Are you using it on boost controler and log on the same time ?

Hello!

I try out the table and convert it back from bits to volts by dividing the first value by 204.8.

The pressure is converted from in/hg to mm/hg in the negativ range to reflect the values shown directly on the avc-r.

The positiv values in are converted from psi to bar (not to kg/mm² as shown in the avc-r itself).

It costs me a few minutes to note which unit is used in the negative range. :D

I translate the negative range with this site:

I use "Inch (Zoll) of Hg (32 °F)" as Input and "mm Hg (0 °C)" as output. I hope this is correct.

I will post if the lookup table works correctly.

BTW: The Sensor is attached at the blue cable at the inner harness of the AVC-R. You can easily check it with a voltmeter while showing parallel the voltage of the sensor with "check sensors" in the AVC-R.

JFYI I converted my attached lookup table (first post) from mm/hg to in/hg and from kg/mm2 to psi already but go ahead and report how it works for you, thanks.

Do you still have your original table and be able to post it? I see that I must have some little errors in the table due to rounding errors.

And another thing has stuck out: The table is too big. NIStune does not use every entry in it. I have to belittle it. With all entries NIStune does not show values above 0,47 bar boost pressure even if I drive with 1,1 kg/mm². With the thinned out table NIStune shows the negative and the positiv values relatively correctly (rounding errors...).

Here is my newest version but I think I translate the positiv values not in bar but in kg/mm² to completly being able to compare it with the AVC-R itself:

Oh yea trust me I think I spent a good 2 weeks playing with this I can imagine what you went threw. At first I had everything down .0001 place but the hell with that, it was just to messy (as you may know if you use Innovate wideband the signal is quite noisy so the reason I have different bit values equaling same in/hg and psi readings is to clean teh signal up because there are tiny spikes that make teh readings ugly) so I came up with the following to get more stable whole number digit readouts so it reads more like an actual boost gauge.

This is the table I use in Nistune actually since I dont boost over 15psi at all:
