HP application...

Post by SupSay Z »

hey Matt, dunno if this has been brought up before, but, since nistune can determine rpm, speed and distance with the addition of vehicle weight could it not be able to estimate HP figures? perhaps torque too? i have absolutely no idea how easy or hard it would be to make an added application for this, but i know that the needed info is there. perhaps for a future update?

Eric who does Conzult software looked into this at one stage. There were some posts on the ECU forums.... which stated that the speed updates were quite slow and not high enough resolution for HP estimations

Thanks for the links. I can still look into this and will add it to the list

yap speed uploads are slow for an acurate reading, and performance monitoring but, if interpolation is used i think the problem can be resolved

for example:
update 1 - time : 5.30sec - speed 99km/h
update 2 - time : 5.40sec - speed 103km/h

using the most rough interpolation we can say that at:
time : 5.325sec we had a speed of 100km/h
