Guys, we are trying to ride faster here in Syberia (krasnoyarsk), but it's a huge problem to get at DYNO. So the question is, could you open up a little your secret, I'm talking about ignition timing map for drag. Which sets do you use (ignition angle) Can someone share pls?

Once you are not making any more power in a particular part of the map by increasing timing (peak torque) then you have reached your timing threshold. This method is normally done on a dyno where you can measure your increase in power whilst tuning the map

On the road more difficult, you need to be tuning with knock sensing headphones to listen for knock when adjusting timing maps

I just would add that for many nissan types are known obvious/average timing values for different power levels/fuel types, so this can get you idea of ball park. But in real life, each engine is different and need personal tune:) You dont need dyno at all to get good tune results, as Matt adviced, good system for knock detonation is really base what you need.... Im tune cars just in road and get as good results as dyno tune... For sure, for some very high powered drag special it can be dangerous at road, but can be done at drag strip, thats how old school drag racers did it..
