running rich rb26
Hey guys. I need some help with my car.
what i have is:
s14 with a r32 drive train (engine ,trany, ecu mafs etc)
the problem i am having is that both of my o2 sensors are reading more than 2.5v and the car is obviously running rich.
(since its a project car and not an original skyline)
I do not have all the sensor connected to the ecu, like the exhaust temp sensor, and exhaust switching module that goes to the pin 32 on the ecu
so the question is what it does, and what kind of voltage does it send to the ecu, and do i have to have it (switching module)?
wideband with o2 unpluged reading 12.4, connected 10
also i am running on nistune but have no IDEA how to tune the car
everything on the engine is stock besides : turbos upgraded to steel exhaust wheel, wastegate actuators are set to 7psi cracking 15 fully open, and hks boost controller set to 15spi
please, any help would be appreciated

Re: running rich rb26
Not sure with the exhaust input you refer to. The exhaust temp sensor might potentially cause issues but best to look at the GTR factory service manual in the ECCS section. Should be able to find this on www.skylinesaustralia.com
With regards to running rich, you need a wideband meter for tuning. Then you will know what AFRs its reporting. Since you are running stock injectors/AFM it should be running normal before even tuning with Nistune.

wideband reading 10-1 with o2 plugged in, 12.4 with them unplugged

I don't know for serial but for USB use http://www.dlpdesign.com/usb/io8.shtml
You can use it also for various data-logging , boost ,IAT etc...
search for topic about DLP on forum You

Re: running rich rb26
got the cable comming. but I have another question,
after reading data sheet on the cable, it converts the voltage to ascii
will nistune understand that ascii or will i need the terminal emulator program in between cable and nistune???
LOL could have told me that the cable is Plug and Play I would have bought it long time ago

Re: running rich rb26
Fixed my o2 issue. Running idle at 14.8
Re: running rich rb26
Sorry to zombie this thread but I've got a similar issue. Stan I know you're probably long gone but if you see this, please share the fix
Just got my Innovate LM-1 running last night, and AFRs at idle and very light cruising throttle are just over 11. Engine is pretty much stock other than bolt-ons, S14A SR20DET in S14 240.
I'll investigate with Nistune what's going on with the narrowband, just wanted to see if anyone has input.

Check the long term fuel trims. Use the latest beta version which displays them on the main panel
