on a Z32 ECU a 800Kohm-1Mohm resistor will do the trick

Thanks Eric - saved me some time!

So they are the same as SR20 then. Makes sense as I think they use the same knock sensor.

Great! Thanks guys for the awesome info.
I'll go ahead and pick up one of these and the 2k ohm resistor for the exhaust temp!

Having a bit of trouble locating a 800"K"Ohm resistor. When i search that in google it doesnt find anything, however it asked if i meant 800 Ohm resistor, with the K.

Is this the same thing? Want to be sure i purchase the correct one.

Also, does the wattage matter? I've located one at my local electronics store. (This is the 2k resistor for the exh temp)

800K = 800.000 OHM
Just get a one meg ohm resistor
1/4 watt

one mega ohm! :)

You must have RadioShack in the US ..
They stock these things :)

I would not worry about the sensors at this stage, for me this has never been an issue ..

Cheers,
Andrew

Resistors come in "preferred values". These values may seem a little strange as they don't go 500K, 600K, 700K etc. They go 470K, 560K, 680K, 820K, 1M. This does vary a bit - but they're the common ones. So on the early knock sensors (Rb20/25) use 470K, on the later ones (SR20) use 1M.

Sorry to be such a n00b.
This is the correct resistor ?

Awesome!
Thanks for the help!

So Knock sensor resistor is 1 Megohm 1/4 watt

And fuel temp is a 2k ohm 1/4 watt

Thanks!

Between knock sensor signal wire and ground.

Or internally inside the ECU (and cut pin to knock sensor). See our Z32 for RB25 guide on our website (Hardware installation)
