Hey Matt does Nistune support the 99 Infiniti G20 P11?

No it doesnt... only the 1995 G20 (P10) Infiniti

I might buy a 01 G20 do you know if its possible to run the 95 ECU, isn;t 95 OBDII?

Ok I got myself a 99 G20 and I want my car to be able to use Nistune, can I use another ECU from another year G20 or B14 SE-R?

true OBD-II is 1996 only from what I know. If you have a part number I can look it up and check

G20 P10 SR20 I've got 23710-02J12 (1995 AT) working but there is a 23710-0J610 (1996 OD-II AT) which needs the extra OBD-II ROM on the daughterboard for this to work

Thats where I need to extend the existing Type 4 board to use that

My P11 G20 is a 1999 SR20DE A/T, it has both the CONSULT style OBDI port and the CONSULT style OBDII port but the car is OBDII.

I have had some success connecting to Nistune with the following address file and using the OBDI style consult port.

B14 SR20DE 1996+

However alot of teh tables are missing compared to when I had my S13 KA24DE, I guess thats what your refferening to when you mentioned extending the exsisting type 4 board.

I haven't yet pulled my ECU but I can do that soon, but I also plan on converting the car to speed soon as possible.

the maps probably need more investigation for the later ones, since we cant tune them yet not too much time is spent on them

the extension of Type 4 is actually for an OBD-II ECU program which is used by a separate processor on the board. Right now the NVRAM only holds 64KB so its either using EPROM or other FLASH type (cheaper memory) to hold the OBD-II stuff on that board

However the OBD-II program needs to be loaded onto the board separately

Im wondering if I can make an OBDII to OBDI harness adapter and run a B13 SR20DE ECU since that has support already?

i would use the B14 SR20DE ECU since we support that. i just dont have it listed under Type 4 on the equipment page yet but its definately running

extending the address files shouldnt be too much of a problem for these

Ok that would be less of a hassle, can you tell me what year or part number ECU I should get?

Ok so the P10 OBDII ECU should work on my 99 P11 SR20DE granted it wont run the extra bullshit the 99 engine has?

Heres a list from Nissan FAST USA of the OBDII ECU of the P10 SR20DE

you can only try first with a stock ECU to begin I guess

Ok Matt I sourced the following ECU from a 07/95 P10 G20 M/T

A18-F15 C54 OBD2 P10-SR20DE 23710-0J600

Imma try fitting this to my 99 G20t A/T and see what happends, I plam to do a 5 speed swap thats why I got a M/T ECU.
