First time using Nistune - connectivity question

Post by Dee »

I got a Nistune certified installer to install my Nistune board and load the bin file for me prior to installing the ECU back in my Z. I have since installed the ecu and connected successfully with my micro pc and conzult software using the OEM conzult cable. Additionally, the car starts and runs fine.

I have loaded the address file and the correct ROM in the Nistune software but when I select the USB conzult button - it temp reads the ECU P/N ( shows the P/N on the display as indicated in the manual ) but shortly after like 3 - 4 seconds I get a pop up that conzult did not connect and when I retry the USB button I get a pop up box that the Nistune cannot read the drivers. Any thoughts ?

I sent an email to Matt as well.

can you do File-Configuration-Debug logging

Then restart Nistune

Try the connection to consult again and afterwards send me the log file in C:\Program files\Nistune\logs

I will have a look through them to see what is going on

Matt's comments in an earlier email :

Hi Dee

There were no log files in that folder. Looks like you might have moved the drivers folder into the logs subfolder too?

Please try the following:

1. File - Configuration - Tick 'debug logging' so its enabled
So you have also set 'COM3' in the consult com port box?
2. Restart Nistune
3. Ignition off - 10 seconds - ignition on
4. Attempt connection to consult three times

Files are Nistune_<date>.log and located in C:\Program Files\NIStune\Logs

my response :

Matt -

I moved the drivers out of the log subfolder and placed them in the main Nistune directory. I doubled check the com port and the conzult is running off of COM5. I switched Nistune to COM 5 and also tried "auto".
So others can benefit, I'll post on the forum and you can rsvp here.

Yes - I have the type 2 address file and I also tried to load type 2 image.
