Has anyone got any figures on EGT form RB20DET
I've Installed EGT 2" from exhaust port and readings are as follows

Idle 400c

mild driving 600-800c

driving at 100k on motorway 1100c and rising.

Questions

1) is 1100c to hot for cruse.

2) What are your EGT readings and EGT probe position.

I would say WAY to hot, what are your a/f ratios like? Must be WAY lean.

Your idle and mild driving temperatures are okay. They matches quite with my values.

But 1100° C is too much! Do not go higher than max. 950° C! This is the maximum save temperatur for the turbo (so I have learned it).
