Need Help! AFR's ALL over the Place! Shits going Haywire!

Post by 1SIKZ31 »

I need Help guys!
Set-up is as follows:
DSM 450cc Injectors
Walbro Fuel pump
Aeromotive A1000 Fuel pressure Regulator set @ 40psi base pressure
Z32 Blow-Thru MAF
87NA ECU with Nistune

Anyways.
Injector Latency has been set to 1390.
Injector Multiplier has been set to 210.

Im having a Serious issue!
I JUST got my "Auto-Tune" up and running using a DLPADConverter and my AEM UEGO Wideband's 0-5v output. Wideband reads perfect on Nistune. Nice and Smooth.

I have Set-up my Auto-Tune table and here it is:
Image

Anyways, I've been running in to a WEIRD issue with Nistune recently that just popped up with this current tune and has NEVER been an issue until recently.
On my Fuel tables, for example @ 2500RPM's in the 3rd load scale, I will have the Cell set to 14.04 AFR, and the wideband is almost SPOT on (Reads 13.7:1 AFR), if I give it some extra load, and go up a load cell, I will have the next cell to the right have a richer AFR, but instead the car acts OPPOSITE and runs ULTRA lean! (17+:1 AFR's!)

This is SOOO weird!
I have messed with the K Value very very much, I have tried anything from 150 to 250, nothing seems to work right.
I can get the low load (Cruising) AFR's absolutely PERFECT, but the idle and the low-medium loads are WAYYYY off!!!

I set Auto-tune, and its doing some WEIRD fucking shit as well!!
Here is my fuel map after auto-tune was enabled
Image

What the hell is going on here?

I UNDERSTAND how to adjust the K Value, and KNOW how to tune my car, but this shit is going hay-wire!!!

AFR's are going nuts!
Please let me know some advice someone!!!
Thanks!
I can get a Log for ANYONE whos needs it!
Attached is my BINFILE as well!

I hate this.
You see the fuel map? (pic below)
Please look between TP scale 12 to 30. IGNORE the rest above 30.
12 to 30 has been "auto-Tuned", I did not TOUCH the Air fuel ratios.
And talking about 4000rpm and below as well (4000 and up dont worry about)

ALL the cells from TP of 12 to 30, AND from RPM idle to 4000rpm have been "Auto-Tuned", and my wideband shows a CONSISTENT 13.7-14.1 AFR!!!
But look at the fuel map!!! It goes anywhere from 20:1 AFR's to 9's!!!
How the hell does 20:1 and 9:1 both read 14:1 on the wideband???
MAKES NO SENSE!!!

Anyways, I need help with the logs matt.
When pressing the log button, it shows "browse" and "name", browse is to LOAD a log from the computer to watch it. and pressing name says "Enter name of log files to save" on which I typed "Autotunelog", and pressed "ok" and it took me to the log and I pressed "record". After pressing record I made a long 10 minute log but how do I save it after im done?!?!?

Why have you got your load scaling set so high, you must be running huge boost. I am running 17 PSI and only ever hit the last column under a full load pull. Mine is set to 85. Even looking at your logged A/F ratio, your arent hitting higher than column 68. Seems you are losing a lot of definition in the low load areas because your load scaling goes up so high.

it saves the log automatically once it knows where to put it

saved as nistune<datestamp> or custom file name .csv in the directory you've picked during last browse or from File-Config menu

i would suggest doing autotune last until you can get your expected AFRs working properly also

whats the highest TP value you are hitting on boost? what boost are you running?

I haven't set-up the load scales yet, I do know they are EXTREMELY high.
I hit 0 Vacuum @ TP 45, and 6psi of boost @ TP 60. 6psi is all im running so DIS-REGARD the TP scales above 60.

I'm not NEAR worried about the TP scales right now, im just very frustrated as I am having a very difficult time getting K Value Correct.

If I go up 10 more in the K value it will run SUPER rich (10:1) and if I go 10 LESS then the AFR's are very very inconsistent?

Matt maybe I have something messed up in my Tune?
Heres my Tune at the moment (see attached)
Please take a look at it.

I'll have a look over it soon. It is important to get your scalers correct along with your k constant first

stop working in AFRs and work the maps in 'Filtered values only'

Now enable the 'Flags' and tell me what you see

You will see 'Filtered values' in the section where the flags are enabled.

Try working it manually (without autotune for now) and scale your fuel map between 0 and 127 inside the filtered range

Dont use the O2 minus values for now, where they go blue

Adjust your K constant now to get between min/max within this range

See if you are still getting the problem (ie only using non-O2 cells for now)

Unbelievably useful information.
I will try and let you know...
man imagine how FUCKED I would be without you and your wealth of information matt!!

I got the car running tons better.
so far I am running K of 250 and latency of 1150.
Looks like I need to lower the K, since I am seeing -33 for the filtered values under cruising though A/F is 14's on the wideband.
I will update soon, thanks!

Ok!
I got my car running DAMN good...
Ended up being the K value and Latency was off...
Under cruising, I have my entire Fuel Table's set at 0, and I am getting 13.5-14.1 AFR's throughout the RPM range (low loads)
Under boost, (TP of 45 and above) I have the fuel maps set at a AFR value of "8.59:1 AFR" and that is actually 11.3-11.5:1 on the wideband...
Looks like everything is running well. I have it set to 10psi of boost for now.

THanks for the help everybody!
Here is my tune for now:

Runs well. Have not tuned tp of 83 and above yet, so ignore that area.
