Fan control

Post by Glue2U »

I hello everyone first time poster long time troll, I have not finished reading the nistune user manual, however I notice that in my nistune there is a function for Fan control. just wondering if it can control electric fan or is it for something else. I have a ER34 Rb25det neo in a 1995 240sx. Thanks

Yes it is for electronic fans. More details here:

So did some research and notice that on rb25det neo ecu's there is no fan pin out, so where is every one getting the trigger from. I understand that you have to use a relay to make it work but once again cant find the right pin from the ecu to make all this work any help would be great.

I have tried everything but I cannot get pin 78 form the ecu to activate I have tried the test fan function, tried setting all the values in the Fan control flags to all zero no luck. Fan control speed values up down nothing happens. what is my next option here? Also I am testing for a ground to come out of that pin using a power probe. HELP ME PLEASE!

Make sure Fan Control is selected in active tests before hitting start

Check the FAN LO and FAN HI outputs on the consult gauges panel to see its illuminated in the software and then check the fan matches

In the software the cooling fan LHS and RHS are not illuminated, In active test I did put the cooling fans on put the fan did not kick in do you think its something in the ecu.

Pin 78 is a negative output from the ECU. The other side of the fan must be positive. Did you check this.

1. Put ECU temperature input > 95 degC and active test (high and low) illuminate. Pin 78 pulled low
2. Active test. Pin 78 pulled low (the consult gauge panel does not operate during active test so no illumination can be seen)

To simulate 95 degC say at 80 degC modify the Temp Conversion table (converts raw temp sensor input voltage to temperature value)
