Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
so no matter what I do it seems my idle gets very rich on really hot days(like 9-8afr's) I adjust the k-constant and for a minute it stays at 14afr. tuen the car off or come back from deceleration and it's back to super rich again. I can cruze at 14 afr but it's the idle when iam in traffic that is killing my gas mileage.
iam running a z32tt maf

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
Can you attach the tune so that everyone can take a look at it? Also post your mod list besides the MAF (turbo, injectors, etc)
Could be a problem with Injector Latency since it only affects idle. Could also be a LOT of other things including a vac or boost leak, Cold/Warm Enrichment, VE/Fuel Maps, etc.
how are part throttle/WOT acceleration afrs?

part throttle is 14-12 afr and wot gets into the 10-9afr range.

ROM image 51P05... 16 bit Z32 ECU
These are tuned somewhat differently. The K constant does not work the same and I found an alternative injection multiplier adjustment for these after looking at JWT tunes
For starters they use Injection multiplier K=323 (from 288) and Injection Adjust constant = 48 (from 119) for 740CC
For 650CC I would advise using the above, and then increasing your injection adjust constant further since these injectors are slightly smaller. This constant is a final injection multiplier which does not affect TP

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
so you mean these 2 value tables??
if not can you send me a pic of the tables I need??

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
Attached. Why are you using a Z32 16 bit with RB25? We only recommend the 8-bit models due to the wiring changes being documented, that the 8-bit ones we can copy the RB25DET maps straight into and it works
These 16-bit ECUs have VE maps and these extra injection changes so it is not as straightforward

Bottom comparison values are the ones for 750CC injectors in a tune I pulled

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
matt iam not sure how exactly to copy maps over, everytime I try something different than the z32 one it says mismatch and doesn't work. maybe because I have amixed bag??
-staega engine
-s2 engine harness
-z32 ecu (from a 93-94)_ this is what my real problem is I think as iam used to tuning with the rb20det ecu previously..

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
hey mat, if you can walk me through step by step to copy a map and do this the right way, greatly appreciated.
so far I know
-select car
-select bin file
-select car engine
-and done??

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
You cannot load a non-Z32 BIN file into Nistune when Z32 Address is selected
The way to copy maps (say from ECR33 RB25) is to open two copies of Nistune
Copy 1. Z32 address selection (16 bit for yours)
Copy 2. ECR33 RB25 address selection (and ECR33 RB25 BIN file)
Then copy the maps one by one from ECR33 to the Z32. However fuel/VE maps cannot be copied so you will have to start with the Z32 maps
Afterwards set the injection values I have specified above and then trim the adjust constant until AFRs are back to normal.
I cannot give you a proper step by step for RB25 with this ECU since we have not done one successfully before (this was prior to finding the second injection constant however so I think it can be done now)

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
alright so I found the right bins, but the problem is the maps won't let me copy and paste. when I do do this in the raw values table, then it comes out messed up somehow??? how is the proper way to copy a map??
Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
That's because the VE maps have an extra offset
I've done this before when we tested this back in Aug 2011. Found the email with the tune. I've made a second one with the values modified for 750CC

Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
alright matt so i got the map working but i still haven't found this injection adjust constant menu?? any pointers??
Re: Super rich bitch- rb25 s2
Set user mode to Expert (File > Configuration). Should be next to Injection Multiplier
