type 1 board ca16de full throttle enrichment

Post by FrisbeeGTI »

Hi! Is it possible to get type 1 board ca16de full throttle enrichment adjustable?

These earlier ECUs do not have a variable TPS input (only a TPS idle switch)

There is no throttle enrichment adjustment as a result of this. Any adjustment needs to be done in the fuel maps. What is the problem that you are seeing?

In fact standard ca16de has both TPS idle switch and full throttle switch attached to throttle body and stock ecu enriches at full throttle (but apparently it doesn't affect on timing). This is constated also in Nissan CA16DE service manuals.

Haven't seen yet options on Nistune to modify this enrichment.

Ok, so full throttle enrichment adjustments for ca16de are not supported in current type 1 board nistune. Is it possible to change this in future releases?

Does someone know if the full throttle switch enrichment is a constant + through the rev/load range or is there some own fuel table for that?

TPS idle switch and full throttle switch attached to throttle body and stock ecu enriches at full throttle
Do you have a link to the manual?

Normally with these ECUs I've only seen full throttle switched used for auto trans kickback (and not for ECU enrichment adjustment)

Here is appropriate section of the CA16DE manual (.pdf, zipped):

http://manual.nissanexa.com/CA16DE_Manual/FE.zip

In the manual pages EC&EF 16 and EC&EF 19 contain descriptions of the full throttle switch and full throttle enrichment.

That file does not contain the sections you mention. Got another link at all?

Is there anything in the EC (ECU) section about full throttle enrichment either?

You will find that page 19 is full throttle position (with heavy load condition - rather than switched condition) which may be MAF based

The Full throttle contact position is used for the acceleration cut relay (see page 29)

Only other info is that Throttle valve switched (idle or full - not clear) used for
- Fuel injection and Closed Loop control
- Ignition timing control (idle)
- AIV control (idle)
- Idle speed control (idle)
- EGR control (idle)
- Acceleration cut control (full)

Other manuals with ECUs from this era without the full throttle switch also talk about heavy load condition used for acceleration adjustment.

There is mention of a table in the RB30 ECUs about 'Acceleration Decremental correction' table to take care of MAF overshoot (upto 3200rpm or idle switch) but this isnt what you are looking for. I dont think there is a table for this
