Injector Resize Procedure ..

Post by Torque »

When resizing injectors using Nistune's procedure (resize injectors) Nistune
requests that the ignition has to be on, engine not running ..

Why is this? I thought the engine can run while updating tables?

Thanks ..

Yes it can. Its stupid person protection!!

Why would you with different size injectors try and run the car with those fitted and then resize whilst the engine is running?

OK .. that's what I though as well
So no technical limitation or something like that ...

I resized my injectors yesterday and did it all manually in Excel to understand the procedure.
My Excel work had the same results as yor 'resize injectors procedure'

By coincidence I found out that Nistune can rescale in %, I never knew this ;)
NICE!!

The rescale of the TP-Scales seems to be a bit too much though, so I will readjust with a smaller factor.

Also I am still confused about these cranking tables, I did rescale one of them (I think called first time enrich or something) It is scaled in Ms.

Funnily enough Nistune did not rescale any cranking tables?
Which are the other tables to have a look at?

Also I used Eric's Resize Injector to double check.
Eric's program does actually rescale one cranking table. (the same I did)
Also his K-Factor is about 10% different from NT.

I think it is best if I check my K with a WB next.
(I did a quick check with the AF-learn parameter (if that's any good))

Phew ... I am glad this went reasonably well
:D

This is fixed for the next version already. I found this on my R31 so took out the FT_ENRICH table and changed to CRANK_ENRICH so it does get resized, but didnt remove the translation entry and it caused all the maps labels in the list to be out by one in the latest version so pulled that down

I'm in the middle of adding the larger icons for the next build so it will be in there

Thanks Matt,

Is this 'next' version available?
(Is it one of the test versions?)

Cheers ...

But it is basically just the table name, so I should be fine with the current version?
